KLIKCAR contains AICAR (5-Aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide), a cell-permeable nucleoside analogue that activates AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). Each pen contains 50mg/1ml. AMPK is a master metabolic sensor that triggers fatty acid oxidation, glucose uptake, and mitochondrial biogenesis when activated. Research has shown AICAR can mimic many metabolic benefits of exercise, including enhanced endurance capacity and improved insulin sensitivity, without physical activity.
