KLIKPT141 contains PT-141 (Bremelanotide), a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analogue of alpha-MSH derived from Melanotan II. Each pen contains 10mg/2ml. It acts as a non-selective agonist at melanocortin receptors MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, and MC5R. Research focuses on its mechanism of action through the central nervous system rather than the vascular system, distinguishing it from other compounds in related research areas. It was FDA-approved in 2019 under the brand name Vyleesi.
